Ardenne Lunch Thursday 19th June 2014

As an experiment in anticipation that it might become another annual event in our calendar, our Ardenne member David Woodcock has organised a lunch at the Moulin de Hamoul Restaurant which is situated alongside the River Ourthe about 20 minutes drive east from Marche-en-Famenne (or about 1 hour 40 minutes from Brussels via the E411 and N4).

This is an opportunity to partake in convivial company of an excellent three course lunch for the bargain price around 30€ including a couple of glasses of wine. Whilst it is obviously of most interest to retired members of both Oxford and Cambridge Societies from both Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, anyone, and particularly partners, will be most welcome. Our apologies go to those who have to work but sadly bargains such as this are only available mid-week.

No formal “tourist” side trips will be arranged, but Marche-en-Famenne itself is an interesting town with easy parking, and the little known but spectacular Grottes de Hotton are less than 5 minutes from the restaurant.

Full details of how to get to the restaurant, etc, will be sent to those who indicate an interest. The restaurant’s website is http://www.moulindehamoul.com

Please register by contacting David Woodcock direct at david.woodcock@jesus.oxon.org preferably as soon as possible but certainly no later than Friday 13 June so that numbers can be finalised with the restaurant.
