Dinner with Stuart Laing, Master of Corpus Christi "Arab turbulence: What comes after spring?" 1st March 2014

Herewith an invitation to a Dinner-cum-Talk in Düsseldorf (01.03 at 6:30pm), hosted by our German sister alumni organisation. Please let me know if you are thinking of attending.

Dear Fellow Alumni,

Another great event is coming up. Listen to and have dinner with Stuart Laing, the Master of Corpus Christi, Cambridge:

· at the Hotel Ashley´s Garden, Karl-Kleppe-Straße 20, 40474 Düsseldorf,

· on Saturday, 1st March 2014,

· commencing 6.30 for 7 pm.

Stuart was working in the U.K. Foreign Service earlier in his career with stations in Africa and the Middle East. He is a Middle East expert and will share his views on "Arab turbulence: What comes after spring?" with us. The event is held in a British-style mansion (www.ashleysgarden.de), uniquely placed in the “weiße Siedlung” in Düsseldorf-Golzheim, within walking distance from the yacht harbour. Not quite like the Corbusier Siedlung in Stuttgart, but equally distinct.

A three-course menu with great wines is arranged. If you would like to come please confirm to Christine Bartsch (christine.bartsch@lsealumni.de) and me (dr.markus.brandstetter@googlemail.com) and as soon as possible prepay (necessary condition) the all-inclusive amount, including drinks, of 55 Euro per person into the account:

Freunde der LSE e.V., IBAN: DE57 3007 0024 0612 0182 00, BIC: DEUTDEDBDUE.

Spouses, fiancés and partners very welcome. Dress code: suit or evening dress.

It would be great if you can make it, and how about bringing along your best Oxford / Cambridge friend?
